Dr. Anthony Fauci, the leading expert at the U.S. coronary, said on Thursday that hundreds of millions of Corleone vaccines could become available in January of next year and that there are private companies that expressly try to produce them.
The project was unveiled by Bloomberg on Wednesday and was not officially announced by the administration until Dr. Fauci, writes Daily Mail, broadcasts news.net.
It aims to have 300 million doses of vaccines almost by January, despite warnings from doctors that rushing the process could lead to more deaths or health problems.
A health department spokesman said that making a vaccine available as soon as possible is a result of US President Donald Trump.
Johnson & Johnson companies, Modernna and Oxford University are among the ones that have already started preparations for producing millions of doses.
This is the shortest deadline yet given by Fauci, who, until recently, was saying it would take 12-18 months to reach the vaccine.
