Kosovo is facing the COVID-19 pandemic, where the number of infected has gone above 100 as a person lost the lives of 16 of the infected managed to recover.
But despite numerous Kosovo medical teams operating on every side of Kosovo, Serbia has sent health personnel to Kosovo to provide their health services to Kosovo's majority Serb municipalities.
The entrance of numerous Serbs from Belgrade was confirmed tonight by Kosovo Police Director Rashit Qalaj.
Qalaj said that since the issue of the COVID-19 pandemic began, a large number of Serbia's medical personnel in Kosovo have entered Kosovo.
The same “have gone to different cities in the country, as in Gracanica and Mitrovica. To care for and visit hospitals that have been there. No individual has entered Kosovo without permission”, Qalaj said, says Indesksonline.
In a report issued days earlier and provided by Indexline, all of these people have to testify with relevant documents their profession (valid licenses) and should be subjected to medical checkups at border points and to adhere to IKPK regulations and recommendations.
And during a conference held tonight for emedia, Health Minister Arben Vitita said the decision to enter the quarantine of North Mitrovica and Zvecan has been taken at the recommendation of IKSEP from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kosovo, in full co-ordination with local authorities. /Indesksonline/
