LDK MP Marigona Geci has been urging the country's prime minister, Albin Kurti, to withdraw the decision to sack Agim Veliu, as well as to open the streets and not close them.

I wrote you an open letter and I want to repeat it in the House. I don't want to give political speeches, but as citizens, I have a prayer for you, Mr. Kurti, as one's wife, mother, as an MP, as a daughter of a house of the largest in Kosovo, I would like to pray for the sake of those who gave their most beloved life for this land, for the blood of Jashari family, and those who fell for freedom. She said she doesn't care about herself, but that citizens are already tired of harboring personal resentment.
