The state news agency, Sana, has said that the civilian man was killed when American troops fired on the crowd trying to stop them from going through a checkpoint in the town of Qamishli, writes BBC, broadcast the Kosovo Clan.
A monitoring group said it wasn't clear whether the guy was armed or not.
