An interview, the Serbian minister said the West would seek recognition of Kosovo's independence before Serbia joins the European Union, Serbian media reported.
Popovic does not rule out the possibility of Madeleine Albright being part of the Biden administration to support Kosovo, but he says he is convinced that Serbia will be able to respond to pressure and thus protect its national interests and international position.
“is no longer the same time as the 1990s, when they imposed sanctions and bombed Serbia. Neither Serbia is the same, nor our international position is the same, nor is the world the same. I think Serbia today is in a position with its economic strength and international partnerships preserve its state and national interests”, Popovic said in an interview with Novosti.
Since Joe Biden won the presidential election in America, political officials did not enjoy his victory, even claimed that Biden was in favour of Kosovo.
Even in the wish that Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, sent Joe Biden, he said he hoped to continue co-operation the same as former President Donald Trump.
We remember that Biden always said that Kosovo independence irreversibly and Kosovo inseparably.
