Dear Prime Minister Rama,

On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, I express my heartfelt congratulations on the October 28th Flag Day case.

Albania's declaration of independence, on November 28th 1912, was the most important event in the history of the Albanian nation since the November of Gjergji Kastriot dealt with Skenderbeu. On this landmark day, leaders of all Albanian countries, in Blessed Vlora, unilaterally declared Albania a separate, free and independent state. Since then, Albanians everywhere have held the National Flag, which is a symbol of our unity, peace and eternal love.

Flag Day November 28th is each Albanian's day, no matter where he lives or works. This day reminds us of the great sacrifices and the eternal struggle we have fought throughout history to preserve the spirit of our national being intact.

Today, the Republic of Albania boasts its achievements, separately with NATO membership, and with the approach towards integration into the European Union, these achieved are inspiration for the Republic of Kosovo, so that we too can work decisively to meet the required standards for membership in these institutions. The conclusion of this process would mark the return of the Albanian nation to its natural spiritual, cultural and European political bed.

By reaffirming my highest regard, dear Prime Minister, I wish that the Republic of Albania will always have only prosperity and success!
