Melza Haradinaj clears the way for diplomat Anita Haradinaj

Party exhibits and family members who lead the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora have the opportunity to become diplomats. The Social Democrat Party had failed to take any seat in the Parliament from the coalition with the AAK in the 6 October elections, nor had any ministry been split. But, despite that, Ramush Haradinaj and the PSD [...]
The former MP candidate from this party, Albanian Pantina, is expected to be nominated as ambassador to Japan, with diplomatic key. The race to become part of the diplomatic service is also the wife of former Prime Minister Haradinaj, Anita.
Three months ago, the ministry, headed by Melza Haradinaj (AAK), has opened competitions for 15 employees who will be distributed on consular missions. “Koha Ditore” agrees that Anita Haradinaj, wife of former Prime Minister Haradinaj, as well as former PSD deputy Aida Drsguti, are under way of recruiting.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not commented on whether Haradinaj's Drugut is among the elected.
“The selection process of consular officials is ongoing, according to instructions and regulations in force. Currently within the MPJD are addressing the complaints of candidates who have applied in this process”, the initial response reported. But in another version of the MPJD response, it's removed the second half of the response to the candidates' complaints.
The paper has failed to establish contact with Haradinaj and Dorg.
The latter was linked to a possible transition to the AAK after deciding to abandon it and not be an MP candidate on the PSD List.
The newspaper's sources have said that this competition does not even have the approval of the Public Administration dictatorship that now operates under the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The newspaper has sent questions to this ministry a few weeks ago, but they have lacked answers. One of the candidates who took part in the receiving test for consular officials and worked in the MPJ earlier told the paper that only one question was “consultant”.
The other “wasn't about diplomacy either, but about international relations”, this candidate said.
The MPJD has said they do not need approval from other institutions for this competition.
“Conform legislation into effect and MPJD directives, the minister/PJD has the right to issue a decision to open the contest for consular officials, therefore, under the legislation in effect is not required approval by other respective institutions, because members of the foreign service do not submit to civil service rules, due to specifics”, in response to the Office for Information Information MPJD.
But according to Article 12 of the Civil Service Law, <x0 career and non-carriee claims are approved by the government, for executive institutions, following the proposal of the relevant institution and the ministry's approval responsible for public administration and the ministry responsible for finances”.
