The Kosovo government has adopted today the plan to implement the agreement for economic normalisation between Kosovo and Serbia, reached 4 September at the White House, in the presence of US President Donald Trump.
Deputy Prime Minister Driton Selmanaj said they have identified key actions to implement the agreement.
“Based on these agreements has identified key actions, since some points have already been in place. Expected from dictatorships to take all measures to implement this plan”, he said.
The government has abolished the decision on Task-Corruption Force. Before the vote, Justice Minister Selimi said the decision could harm several cases that are under way.
The “Kisa expressed as a need to first look at the findings of the functional revision, as the immediate abolition is likely to hurt some cases that are under way”, he said.
But, Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti said this decision opens the way for institutions to act on the law.
This is the 2010 verdict that envisions the commitment it has established, which is actually the division of powers. When the decision is made on EULEX's mandate, it has completely changed. I believe that this decision paves the way for institutions to function according to the constitution”, he said.
The government has also reviewed the draft agenda for European reform ERA 2. Deputy Prime Minister Selmanaj during the presentation of this draft, said there are 15 priorities.
“During the preparation of ERA have submitted to 15 priorities, the first pillar of reform in the justice system. The second column concerns competitiveness and the climate of doing business. The third pillar, education, employment, health”, he said.
The government cabinet has decided to ban formal car purchase procedures from ministries and agencies depending on them.
Deputy Prime Minister Selmanaj said that with this decision all ministries are obliged to stop shopping procedures, while the Ministry of Internal Affairs will inventory the cars they are.
Prime Minister Hoti said they have noted that in some ministries there is a lack of cars and in others there is more than there is need.
We have other priorities and we need to ensure the distribution of cars equally. There are other services missing, while some have more than they need. That's why we wanted him to do inventory and then distribute”, he said.
