He has talked about Serbia's relations with the United States, which he describes as excellent “, but not quite good”.
When asked what the problems in relations between the two countries are, frey said he sees no problems, but much energy that is “focused on solving challenges”. According to him, this includes the unresolved status of relations between Serbia and Kosovo.
“This is a difficult problem, but I believe we can all agree that everyone needs progress, prosperity and long-term stability”, Godfrey stressed.
He said Serbia and the region will continue to be important to Washington, regardless of who wins the presidential elections in the United States, Beta reports.
He told him the presidential election in the United States, which will be held on 3 November, is exciting, but he stressed that the United States has “almost 250 years of experience as a nation”.
“We continue to work to achieve our ideals, but I am convinced of our republic's strength,” said, adding that the embassy he heads in Belgrade will continue to work on developing US-Serbia relations, despite the election outcome.
