Ahmeti explains the highest number of cases with COVID-19 in Pristina, says there is no need for closure from government

Neighboring countries are facing alarming numbers of the virus. Only yesterday has Macedonia had over 600 new cases and 22 casualties. Many European states are facing new closures because of alarming numbers.

Kosovo should be in a dilemma in the absence of research. A month ago we had a big crisis and high numbers compared to the neighbors.

We've usually been two-three weeks late compared to other countries. This time some are hoping that the crisis that others are now facing was a month ago.

In view of the risk and connection with neighboring countries, we must lean to the care area. Especially after increasing numbers on us to over 130 a day. Some may be the result of opening schools, but now there is even greater risk of carrying the virus from neighboring countries. Visa-free travel can also be one of the reasons neighboring countries have more infections now.

Be careful these days. You already know the protection measures. Schools are closing down when more than 5 per cent of staff are infected with the virus. This is keeping the numbers at manageable level. We don't need to close up additional government resources. We need the hearings identified and treated.

Pristina has disproportionally more tests so other municipalities don't relax because as a percentage of tests, we're all on one level.
