5,000 gold land sold for only 1 euro gold from AKP

This was one of the reasons for Blerim Raja's resignation from the former AKP Board chairman in 2013.

So said Blerim Rexha today during interviews by the Parliamentary Investigative Commission regarding the privatisation process in Kosovo.

Blerim Rexha, former chairman of the Kosovo Privatisation Agency Board, first received word, said before members he is surprised at this Commission's invitation, as he said he served in the AKP quite short time.

While Rexha announced that only two council meetings were conducted at this institution, the AKP said it had not been in place of the country's development.

Even though he said in this position in the AKP, he had gone with the intention of creating a full transparency but having faced difficulties.

Commission Chairman Hajrula Ceku has asked Raja what the reasons for her resignation were.

Rexha said the reason for the resignation, according to him, has been privatisation at a very low price.

Five thousand gold land is sold by one euro gold. I have rejected this privatisation process at this very low price. And on board the members would say, "If you feel sorry for Kosovo's land?" So this has been one of the reasons for resignation”, Rex said.

He has also shown the time he served in the AKP.

I have been appointed on February 21, 2013, and on May 16th I have resigned, which I have served 84 days of work in AKP”, he said.

Rexha said even a media and public pressure has prompted me to resign, even though he does not disclose media names.

Until he has said there has been no political blackmail, he has continued to stress that his aim in the AKP has been transparency, and as he said it was misunderstood that he was against American interests.

My request for transparency in the second meeting has been met with irregularities, especially at the free price of assets, here has come up with disappointments that I am against American and European interests. On May 16, 2013, I have resigned. So the tendency that I am against American and European interests does not stand”, he said.

While, hekuran Murati Commission member has asked Rhaja that at the time she was a member of a political party and was selected by the competition.

Rexha admitted to being a member The PDK, as it said it proudly served in this party.

“I have been in the PDK and with government proposals at the helm with Hashim Thaci at the time I was nominated by the government for AKP Board leaders. There has been no competition, the Parliament had voted the government's proposal for AKP leaders”, Rexha said.
