Hyseni: I don't tell you what we talked about with Yerenelli. We strongly supported the VV coalition.

The election of Glauk Konjufca to the post of Parliament Speaker on December 26th has sworn in VV and LDK positions.

The two parties have no longer had meetings at the leadership level, further postponing the agreement on a possible coalition.

LDK chairmanship member said the party's position it belongs to is to make efforts for a coalition with the VV in full partnership.

The “is the powerful stance of the LDK to make efforts for the VV coalition to occur by building a government with balanced power. I insist on the full partner between the LDK and the VV, without full partnership it is difficult to function”, Hyseni said.

“The LDK is ready, it remains to be seen if Vetevendosje is ready. So far with every action it has shown that it is not ready”.

He said the party's leadership has decided that he along with Agim Veliun and Avdullah Hoti will meet President Trump's special representative for dialogue.

“The LDK chairmanship decides and determines which of its officials goes to meetings”, Hyseni said.

LDK head member said there is no information about whether Mustafa and Kurti will meet today but that the LDK chairman is ready to meet with VV chairman whenever the latter invites him.

I don't know if there will be a meeting today between President Mustafa and VV chairman I don't have this information what I can say is that President Mustafa is willing to meet with Mr. Kurt at any time he invites. The LDK never leaves the table, does not leave the conversation in an effort to find the best solution”, he said.

Commenting on the Constitution of the Parliament, Hyseni said the VV deliberately introduced the candidate for the Parliamentary Speaker to place the LDK before the act was committed.

“The VV, with unilateral actions, has introduced a candidate for Parliament Speaker, LDK has voted because the LDK will never go against the constitutionalisation of Kosovo institutions, The LDK is the only institutional party and the move was deliberately made by Vetevendosje and placed LDK before the act committed”,

Hyseni said that “does not take such actions with someone aiming to build partnerships, however, we are convinced that all efforts must be made to resolve this stalemate for establishing institutions because this is what we owe to Kosovo citizens”.
