Wessel from Balkans' oldest mosque, boasts Kosovo cultural heritage

Speaker of the House, at once loder's PDK, Kadri Wessel, has visited the Mlica village mosque.

In the next post on the social network, the chairman of PDK, Kadri Veselin posts photos from the Mlica village mosque in the Dragas municipality, which is considered to be the oldest in the Balkans.

Starting with this rare monument of culture, Wessel stresses that Kosovo, although it is small territory, is very rich with heritage of nature and culture. Through a script published on his Facebook page, Wessel has said that as the future prime minister, the preservation, maintenance, restoration and promotion of cultural monuments, he will have priority.

The Mlica mosque in Dragash, which researchers say was built in 1289, is considered the first mosque in the Balkans. As the next prime minister, I will hold the maintenance, restoration and promotion of valuable monuments like this priority. Our Kosovo, though small territory, is rich in natural and cultural heritage and has rare monuments like this mosque. This legacy, along with the traditional hospitality of our people, offers a great potential for tourism development in Kosovo, which is a sector that will in the future open many jobs for our youth.
