Acting Minister of European Integration, Gift Hoxha, hosted outgoing United Kingdom Ambassador Ruairí at the meeting O'Connell, with whom they discussed so-called co-operation, which the minister praised high and very useful.

Minister Hoxha thanked Ambassador O'Connell for supporting the fight against crime, corruption, nepotism, underlining that friendship and support of the United Kingdom is the value of Kosovo citizens and citizenship.

The United Kingdom's “Contribution and its diplomacy takes a huge place in our country's new history, so the values of this friendship only grow. The continued support coming from this great country has special significance for Kosovo and its citizens, so, too, your work, Mr. Ambassador, we will highly assess and highly appreciate”, Minister Hoxha stressed, adding that the United Kingdom has stood firm near the challenges of building our institutions.

U.K. Ambassador Ruairí O'Connell, praised that Kosovo is at a crossroads and that steps must be taken to move forward. Fighting corruption and nepotism remains important, as well as promoting a culture of transparent recruiting processes within civilian service.
