Bolton: We'll be enthusiastically supporting a Brex without a deal.

Mr. Bolton's visit aims to provide Britain with guarantees on ties with the United States. Mr. Bolton told British Prime Minister Boris Johnson that President Donald Trump wants to see a successful British exit from the European Union on October 31st and that Washington will be ready to work quickly for a free trade agreement with London.
Prime Minister Johnson wants the EU to renegotiate the conditions of Britain's release before October 31st, but the EU says it will not modify the part of the agreement that Mr. Johnson says should definitely be changed.
The current situation leaves Britain leaving the European Union without any official transition period or legal agreement covering issues such as trade, data transfer and border policy.
If that's the decision of the British government, we'll support it with enthusiasm, and that's what I'm trying to follow. We're with you, we're with you,” Mr. Bolton told reporters after his first day of meetings.
Mr. Bolton, who is in London for two days of talks with British officials, is seeking improved relations between the two countries with Prime Minister Boris Johnson following occasional tensions with former Prime Minister Theresa May.
As the United Kingdom prepares to leave the European Union on October 31st, its biggest geopolitical change since World War II, many diplomats expect London to become increasingly dependent on the United States.
A key message being conveyed by Mr. Bolton is that the United States will help ease Britain's exit from the EU with a free trade deal being negotiated by US Trade Representative Robert Lightizer and his British counterpart, Liz Trus. / VOA
