The person was arrested on charges of attempted crime, defined as “partition of religious and national hatred and violation of security”.
The person who had threatened him on social networks had told him that “is a vital desire to kill an Albanian, even an Albanian child”, adding that he hopes “for a new war in Kosovo during which Albanians will feel Serbian anger”.
The Kosovo Journalists' Association had taken with concern the announcement of regional television correspondent N1 in Kosovo, and had reacted to that. The Act has also condemned N1 television and the Association of Journalists of Serbia.
Even so, Serbia's prime minister, Anna Brnabyq, had reacted, who had said that “threats to N1 journalist Zana Cimili are unacceptable and deserve to be punished. It is hard to imagine that someone in the 21st century could threaten someone in this way”.
