All this is due to an agreement reached between Kosovo and Switzerland, which will take effect on September 1st of this year.
However, this agreement does not envision retroactive benefits, but only from the date of its entry into force, KTV reports.
This, for representatives of these pensioners, who are about 1,000, is discriminated against.
The Social Security Agreement with Switzerland is in the final phase, which has been ratified by the parliaments of both states and, according to Labour and Social Goods Minister Skender Recica, on 15 August all technical works will be finalised and a manual for these beneficiaries will be published.
Skender Recica, Minister of Labour and Social Goodness, has said they have made efforts to have retroactive compensation, but the Swiss state has not accepted that.
For such agreements, Kosovo has started procedures with several other states, yet they have not yet adopted the same.
