A number of officials from the former Kosovo Liberation Army arrived next week to be interviewed at The Hague at the Special Prosecutor, who will handle war crimes and postwar claims in Kosovo.
Although calls for interviewing this former military have begun since January this year, this time the political scene in Kosovo rocked following Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj's surprise resignation.
Immediately after his resignation, he called for the country to go to elections in early elections, prompting debates over political flows.
The opposition dismissed any possibility of involvement in any new government or technical government, demanding that election time consultations begin immediately.
But on Saturday evening, it seems that the Democratic Party of Kosovo chairman Kadri Wessel ended the debates.
It is now in the hands of Kosovo President Hashim Thaci to start consultations with political parties on the issue, reports VOA.
Haradinaj's resignation ended coalition between The PDK, AAK of the Social Democrat Initiatives that competed together in the June 11th 2017 general elections.
Early elections that now seem inevitable also raise questions about the impact they would have on the negotiation process between Kosovo and Serbia.
