Mimoza Kusari in Washington also seeks recognition of Kosovo independence

Kosovo Assembly MP Mimoza Kusari '%a, who is participating in the Forum of Parliamentary Leaders at the US Congress in Washington, has talked about the achievements and challenges of the state of Kosovo, while calling on deputies of participating states who have not recognised Kosovo to recognise the democratic new state [...]
Kosovo is a paralysed democracy for 18 years and an independent state for 11 years. During this period we have had six parliamentary elections and our challenges regarding the process, but have gradually advanced in organising the election process. The Kosovo Parliament's challenge is keeping the focus on development processes and political stability and democratic advancement. We have found that we cannot have sustainable development without sustainable democracy”, Kusari-Lila said.
MP Kusari Lila on behalf of the Kosovo delegation thanked congressmen David Price (D) and Vern Buchan (R) co-chairmen of the programme for democratic partnership of Congress, as well as representatives of USAID, NDI and IRI for helping develop democracy in Kosovo.
