This has sparked numerous reactions in his hometown, in Gjakova, from local institutions, associations released from war, political parties and other citizens.
Gjakova Mayor Ardian Gjini said authorities should urgently intervene in the Macedonian government and Tomorri be released as soon as possible
Tomor Morines' “ban by northern Macedonia authorities is also a brutal case of abuse of Serbia with Kosovo citizens. Our authorities must urgently intervene with the Macedonian government and Tomorri be released as soon as”, Djind said.
The MP from the PSD ranks coming from this city, Driton Caushi, said Kosovo institutions should be in a state of emergency until Tomor's release.
Tomor Morina's “Case and institutional silence are again proving to us the full failure of the state of Kosovo to defend freedom fighters. Institutions of the Republic of Kosovo should be in a state of emergency and not stop acting until the release of Tomor”, he said.
The largest local opposition party, Alternative, nominated Morina's arrest. They demand that pressure be increased for the release of the former KLA soldier.
“cannot ignore this injustice from our institutions, only that Tomorrow is not a political figure. Rather, institutional reaction should be even more vocal, because Tomorr Morina was a freedom fighter and as such cannot be arrested with Serbia's warrants. I'm bleeding with you, Tomorr”, says this party's reaction.
The Centre of Vetevendosje in Gjakova, who claimed to have received news of Morina's arrest and 30-day detention, has also reacted to this arrest.
We request the immediate release of the veteran and our co-owner. We are once calling on the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo for immediate formal reaction by seeking the release and return to Kosovo of war veteran Tomor Morina. Once we ask institutions to use and make all diplomatic political means available so that such cases in the future will not occur”, the response is said.
O V L KLA, the Gjakova branch, said and surprised how the warrants of a state that has exercised genocide are being respected. They have immediately sought the release of their fellow fighter and such acts not repeated.
“We respect the institutions of northern Macedonia and their achievements on the Euro-Atlantic road, as well as its co-operation with the Republic of Kosovo, but Milosevic's decisions should not be implemented by a civilized state”, said in response.
Even the War Crimes Office in the Gjakova municipality has issued a press statement urging Kosovo Ambassador to Macedonia Gjergj Dedaj to take measures and consultations on the release of fighter Tomor Morina
The KLA fighters need justice, not false charges! But justice does not prevail with the punishment of those who captured rifles in behalf of the people. The condemnation of those who faced the Serbian genocide machine is a disgrace and a double crime on the Kosovo Albanian population”, the statement said.
