The new European Commission president: Full support for opening negotiations with Albania

The new European Commission President, Ursula von der Leyeen, fully supports the European Commission's proposal to open negotiations with northern Macedonia and Albania.

In the first message after taking office, the EC president has indicated that she reaffirms the European perspective of the Western Balkans and sees an important role in the process of continued reforms throughout the region.
