With great sadness and grief, I received news of the death of my brother Mohammed Morsi, the first democraticly elected. I pray for mercy for the death of the greatest militant of democracy, Mohammed Morsi. The Lord's are, and to him we return”, Erdogan wrote.
Egypt's state media have reported that former president of this state, Mohammed Morsi, has died after appearing in court. According to them, he was initially unconscious, and later died.
State television reported on Tuesday that Morsi became ill after a court hearing.
Morsi was elected democratic in 2012 after the 2011 Arab Spring saw the end of President Hosni Mubarak's 30-year rule.
