Today was a wonderful day for me, for my family, for my community in general.

Monday, June 24, 2019, was one of my happiest days, but that was my oath ceremony as a Chaplin' The Muslim LAPD.

I would like to take this moment as a good opportunity to thank the MPP Commissioner, the Honored James P. O'Neill, for your faith in Chaplin position and your great leadership in bringing religious harmony to the NYPD family.

I was honored to work very closely with Police Chief Nilda Hoffmann, Chief Edward Delatorre and our Chief of Command, Kenneth Corey, thank you for your faith and support, and I'd be happy to work with these MPD leaders and I also want to thank you very much. NYPD Inspector Isa Abbassi also thanked with this case the $120 Commanding Officer of the Zone for their continued support over the years, and I thank Deputy Inspector Paul Valerga, with whom I have had the honor of working together on many occasions.

Special thanks and gratitude to Captain's Chief Rabbi Dr Alvin Cass, Deputy Mount Robert Romano, Lieutenant Steven Jerome for their faith and their support in the street process to become a Chaplin The Muslim LAPD.
