Following the publication of the photograph by Kosovo Parliamentary MP Flora Brovina, who was allegedly presenting sexual violations during the war in Kosovo, there have been numerous reactions from survivors of sexual violence during the Kosovo war, and especially from their family members.
For many years we sought legal recognition and access to justice for survivors of sexual violence during the war, while right now when the recognition of their legal status began, everything is destroyed, trying to manipulate itself with the pain and wounds that survivors bear and their families bear. Many of their survivors and family members are anxious to present those disgusting images, especially when their presentation was made by a Kosovo Parliament MP and human rights activist”, it is said, the announcement of these organisations.
Given the fact that survivors of sexual violence cannot emerge in this gear, organisations have all invited you to join the protest march, demanding responsibility from the country's institutions, as well as solidification and justice for survivors of sexual violence during the Kosovo war.
The meeting of participants will take place at “Zahir Pajaziti” Square, and the march will continue until the entry of the Kosovo Assembly. Organisations behind this march are the Kosovar Centre for the rehabilitation of Torture Survivors, the Kosovo Women's Network, Medika Kosova, Medica Gjakova, the Centre for Promoting Women's Rights in Drenas and the Justice Association for All.
