Militants armed with knives and killed three guards and five other prisoners in the Vakdat city prison, the country's Justice Ministry has declared.
One of the promoters of this rebellion was Behruz Gulmurod, son of Gulmurod Khalimov, a colonel of the special tajik forces who defected to Isis in 2015, and who, according to the ministry, was killed in Syria, Periscope reports.
Security forces killed 24 militants and turned the order into a prison that has 1500 prisoners, the minister has added.
Vakhdati is 10km east of Dushanbe capital.
The terrorist group has claimed responsibility for another rebellion in the same country's prison during November. 25 prisoners and two security officers were left dead from this attack. /Periscope
