Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj has today met with the chief of the European Union Office in Kosovo, Natalia Apostolova, with which he discussed preparations for population registration and residences in 2021.
In this case, Hoxhaj has announced the performance of preparations for the 2021 census under EUROSTAT recommendations, which will be implemented by the Kosovo Statistics Agency with the support of Kosovo institutions and foreign donors.
Hoxhaj has stressed that the 2011 census has been assessed positively by EUROSTAT and the International Monitoring Operation.
“We are committed to a successful process, as these data are not only important for Kosovo's statistical system, but are key to creating government policies, used for academic purposes, civil society and the media. This process will put Kosovo on the EUROSTAT map, where data will be analysed along with other countries' data from the European Parliament and European Commission”, Hoxhaj said.
Hoxhaj announced that Kosovo will organise donors' conference on this process in September of this year.
