The Ministry of Trade and Industry will help local producers by helping to certified their products so that they can export their products.
So said MTI Minister Andrew Shala, after a visit today made to the local company “Meka”, which he said is a company that meets all EU standards.
“I announced the possibilities the MTI provides and our focus on supporting local production by helping them certified their products. All of this in order for products produced in the Republic of Kosovo to meet the standards required in the EU, and with that our companies meet all the criteria to make it easier to export our products even to other countries”, the minister said.
The minister said that Mecca company treats its workers in the best manner, citing that this company has also given the 13th and 14th salary. According to him, all companies and producers should take an example from this company.
And the owner of the company “Meka” Burim Piraj, has said that since the arrival of Minister Shala, they have seen concrete steps.
He has said that a huge contribution to local producers is the tax that has been imposed on products imported from Serbia.
We thank you for the steps you've taken in putting flags in front of the various products found on the market so consumers can be at least visually informed about what products you're buying. We also congratulate you on imposing a tax on Serbia. Even though this decision of yours is a political decision, but it has had considerable economic impact on our company since the tax's application towards Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina we have employed new workers, as a product has been imported from Bosnia and has enabled us to have a greater opportunity on the market”, he said.
Minister Shala visited the company “Hit Flores”, which deals with the processing and gathering of mountain plants.
