Rama: Even the EU is responsible for the tax on Serbia, only lied to Kosovars for visas and did not remove them

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has told the French press that extending the process of membership in the European Union of Balkan countries could bring a bad situation to this region. He says the prolongation of such a process is bringing trouble to the Balkans, writes Periscopi. As for the fixed tax [...]
In the Balkan countries, the situation is worse than two years ago and this is due to the slowdown of the European Union membership process, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama says in an interview for France Press, Periscopi submits.
France Press writes that Montenegro and Serbia have started negotiations with the EU until Albania and Northern Macedonia start negotiations in June until Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo are also waiting to join the EU. However, as long as there will be elections in Europe itself, hopes are becoming even more dead than anyone will be welcomed into the EU.
Edi Rama tells the French press he could understand this situation in the context of increasing populism and Euroscepticism. However, the Albanian prime minister in this interview warns that such a thing could have consequences, as well as reminding the French press that he has also reminded European Commission President Jean Claudie Juncker that if the EU is prolonging this process, there may be consequences like those of the 1990s in the Balkans, Periscope follows.
When you say Europe or war, it is very clear which region is defined by this (synonym) and in which region has been very bad for centuries”, says Edi Rama.
The Albanian prime minister has also talked about dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia. In her writing, France pres, it turns back a short story between Kosovo and Serbia, from declaring independence here and there.
“At the end of 2018, Pristina imposed 100 per cent taxes on Serbian goods, which the European Union reproved”, writes French media, records Periscopi.
However, Rama believes that the European Union itself is part of the responsibility for imposing the tax on Serbian goods on Kosovo, until he says, that Pristina has not yet received visa liberalisation for its citizens (Kosovo v.j), though it was a promise of the EU”, he says.
Rama has told the French media that Pristina has fulfilled all obligations in terms of visa liberalisation, and for that, the European Parliament has given a positive opinion, but it goes on ahead that member states did nothing in this direction.
In this context, Rama says, the establishment of barriers on the part of Kosovo was a certain political explosion. /Periscope.
