The foreign affairs ministers of the member states of the seven most developed countries, the G7, have invited Serbia and Kosovo to engage constructively in normalising relations through the legally integrated agreement so that they can progress on the European road.
At the joint conference at the end of the summit held in France, the ministers have stressed that without effective and comprehensive normalisation of relations between Serbia and Kosovo through the EU's mediating dialogue, there can be no long-term stability in the region, Koha.net broadcasts.
Officials from these seven countries have stressed their commitment to security, stability, prosperity and the European perspective for the six Western Balkan countries.
They have also stressed the importance of the progress of domestic reforms, especially in the rule of law, highlighted in the 25-page communiqué the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs has published.
The meeting of G7 ministers is held late last week in the French region of Breganne.
Members of G7 are France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Great Britain, the US and Canada.
