Ferid Agani sentenced to two and a half years in prison

Former Health Minister Ferid Agani has been sentenced to 2 years and six months in prison, while former Secretary General Gani Shabani, to 2 years in prison after being found guilty today of misusing official duty in the case known as Stentetão. Former Minister Ferid Agani and former Ministry Secretary General Gani Shabani were charged with misusing the official position.
Charged for the case are over 50 people, but with the aim of optimising the procedure, procedure was isolated against the former minister and secretary of the Health Ministry.
Former Minister Agan and Gani Shaban are charged with acting contrary to the Law on Public Procurement and Administration Guides of the Health Ministry, allowing payments to treat patients outside public health institutions for 2011 - 2015.
