Of the ten suspects being charged with smuggling some Albanians to Hungary across the Tisa River, nine of them were sentenced to a total of 47 years in prison.
About 10 years ago, specifically on November 14, 2009, about 15 Kosovars lost their lives on the Tisa River while illegally crossing the Serb-Hungarian border.
