Macedonia most benefited from tax establishment

For some 33.8 percent, imports from CEFTA countries have declined during February of this year, compared to the same month in 2018. From 38m to 764 thousand and 684 euros as imported in February last year, import has dropped to 25 million and 661 thousand 407 [...]
Because of the decline in import from these countries is the 100 per cent tax establishment of products originating from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina in November last year, “Koha Ditore” writes today.
Unlike import, exports with CEFTA countries have scored a 23 per cent increase. From 8m to 296 thousand and 11 euros in February 2018, it has grown to 10m and 211 thousand and 487 euros, or nearly 2m euros more.
Based on Kosovo Customs data, the decline of imports from CEFTA countries has influenced import growth from European Union countries. Import value from EU countries amounts to about 100 million or 55 percent more than it was in February 2018. Germany, Slovenia, Italy and Bulgaria are the states from which Kosovo imports the most.
