KEDS Builds new High Tension line for 40 Bajgora Shala villages

A whole new network now extends by the side of the road that winds up from Mitrovica in the direction of the highest Mays of the Bigora Shala. The new power line 10 kilovolt, starts in Shupkovc, and ends in Baygora. It will supply 40 Shala villages, such as Bare, Vidispic, [...]
The new power line 10 kilovolt, starts in Shupkovc, and ends in Baygora. It will supply 40 Shala villages of electricity, such as Bare, Vidischi, Rahove, Zzejaja, Selac, Bajgora, Soranolle, Kovaqica, Vlachi, etc. The beneficiaries are over 1,700 families and businesses on that side, or about 10,000 people.
Instead of now unformed old pillars of 50 years, underground cables have been placed over 7km long and the rest on new concrete pillars.
This has thrilled the residents of that area. They talk about the good this KED investment has brought.
Nazmi Nimani, the early pensioner of Trepca, from the village of Reka, Mitrovica, says he is pleased with the new network and says everything is now in order.
The subx0nd turn has been with wooden poles they fell and broke when the wind blew or there were heavier atmosphere conditions. That network was like that since the early 1960s. Now we're very happy. The lines are very functional, since everything is in order”.
The other resident of this same village, Muhamet Selmani, is also pleased with the KED services.
There have been arrangements, but we're very satisfied with the new services that KED is approaching and with the new network set up”.
The project has been re-construction of the 10kV network, the construction of the new air and cable network, and two 10/0k,4 kV powered 400 kVA and a 10kV distribution stabilisation. The length of the air grid is 12km, while the cable network is 7,35km.
Now the new network allows for more secure and quantum reforms. Also with the implementation of this project, technical and commercial losses are reduced to remote LP 10H20) kV.
The old network has been across mountain terrain, and it has been very difficult to avoid networks. With the construction of the new network whose transmission has been made across the regional route will enable easier access to maintenance.
Construction of this network has enabled the break-off of KEDS consumers, who have been supplied by Trepca's electricity grid.
