It's been almost a year since the subject of Astrit Dehar's death has been sent for expertise at the Law Medicine Institute in Lozanne, Switzerland, but still without results.

In the prosecutor, they say that if the results do not return these days, they will make the paracre to speed up the case. Even the lawyer committed by the Dehar family, Tome Gashi, has said they have not yet received an announcement concerning the Dehar case.

Prosecutor Metush Biray has told Express that they are still awaiting expertise from Switzerland, and that they still have no information about when the results of expertise will arise. But if the results are too late, Biray says, they will make the paraceptics hasten.

There is no new data. We're expecting expertise from Switzerland, but there's still nothing new. They've said that soon it's done, but that it's more complicated and they need more time. But if it lasts too long, it has to be a precaution for the emergency, that it takes a long time. Maybe it's over there, but we still haven't. We are on hold, and for any information public opinion will be immediately announced, Biray said. Information about when the results of expertise will arise has no lawyer committed by the Dehari family, Tome Gashi. Gashi said that since the case has gone to Switzerland they have received no notice of the case.

Not since the case has gone to Switzerland, in terms of the family's request for independent investigations, there is no announcement of the case, of when it will end in Switzerland, and it has already been almost a year since the case in Switzerland has occurred. Last week I even talked to the prosecutor in Prizren, but he said there was nothing new, so the case has not returned from Switzerland”, Gashi said. Gashi says he is expecting the results of expertise to close the case until he and the Dehari family believe the case was murder rather than suicide.

On November 6, 2016, prosecutors have claimed that the case will be closed within 15 days, and that it has already become 2 and a half years, and the case is still closed. Which means the results of the Legal Medicine Institute must be expected to close the case. Astrit Dehar's family have claimed they will expect the results, but we believe the case has been murder, not suicide”, Gashi said.

And as the super expertise is being carried out, even the prosecution's statements in this case have already been changed, even the case “Dehari” is not being named suicide, but, like the suspicious “death”.

This is also made known in the official document provided by Express, sent by the Basic Prosecutor in Prizren, where the name of the person who will conduct expertise is taught. The reaction to this change of reference has also been to the Dehari family.

The Founding Procuror in Prizren no longer describes even through statements that former Vetevendosje activist Astrit Dehari has committed suicide. Now, even with official documents, with the decision under which the Dehari family's request has sent the case for independent investigations, and under these investigations, super expertise has been sought by the Swiss Police Centre in Lozanne. Now the prosecution with this decision qualifies the case as the suspicious “death”, lawyer Tome Gashi said.

The Dehari family has submitted a request for all evidence and documents the prosecution has submitted to Switzerland.

“We believe that those found by Switzerland should not be delayed by much of what has been spent more than two years after the murder of Astrit Dehar and that the case should be legally closed as murder and then found by his assassin”, the lawyer Gashi concluded. Vetevendosje Activist Astrit Dehari was found dead in his cell at Prizren's Para-burging Centre on November 5, 2016. Dehar was being held in custody under suspicion that he was participating in the explosive attack against the Kosovo Assembly on the night of August 4th that year.
