A school bus principal has made an unprecedented gesture as a sign of revolt over a highly sensitive issue in Italy and not only in recent years. He stopped the bus he was driving, in which there were 51 high school students, dropped one by one and then [...]
He stopped the bus he was running, where he had 51 high school students, dropped them one by one, and then set them on fire.
The event occurred in “San Donato Milanese” of Milan City. The leader, a 47-year-old of semi-ethnic origin and Italian citizenship, has been arrested by police. Fortunately, no one has been injured, but 12 high schoolers have been sent to the hospital because of smoke intolerance.
Two more adults in the hospital ended up, as did the bus driver. Early investigations indicate that the driver, before he set fire to the bus, called out loud: I want to end it, we must stop the victims in the Mediterranean!
The author of this event is called Ousseynou Sy, Senegalese converted Italian in 2004, with earlier criminal precedents for driving drunk, even in a case of sexual violence against a minority.
The driver is said to have to accompany the two high school courses “Vailati di Crema” to the gym, but has strayed from the track. As witnesses on board say, at one point he was starting to scream, showed a bottle of gasoline and a lighter, even saying that “now we have to get to the airport”.
There was one of the students on board who could call the 112 emergency number, and after that, the Carabinieri were on the scene very soon. They stopped the bus, but that's when the fire began. / TCh/
