Tsacheva denied the blame and asked the Anti-corruption Commission to investigate the conditions in which she bought the apartment in an old Sofia luxury neighbourhood last year.
Prime Minister Boyko Borissov accepted her resignation after meeting with him early Saturday, the press office said at a conference.
The two discussed the real estate agreement related to its name. The ministry Tsacheva told the prime minister she left and did not want tensions to affect the government's work” said at the conference.
The Anti-corruption Commission launched an investigation into property purchased last year by officials.
One of four politicians, Tsvetan Tsvetanov, the leader of the GERB parliamentary group, has also denied the blame. The deputy minister of sports resigned on Saturday.
The issue came to light earlier this week after the European Free Radio section in Bulgaria/Radio Liberty and the Nongovernmental Anti-Corruption Fund published their investigations into the property agreement.
