Ruud Vermeulen, director of the International Monetary Fund's Office in Kosovo, has said this will narrow spending for priority sectors and prevent the growth and creation of new jobs needed to reduce high unemployment in Kosovo and the wide income gap with countries in the region and the EU, for growth of Bruto Local Product in 2018.
“I would not go as far as to say that Kosovo is facing a imminent crisis as a consequence of this law. But that does not mean that we are not deeply concerned about the impact it will have on the budget and competitiveness of economy”, he has said.
