Hoti: Pay law must be withdrawn and rewritten

The head of the Democratic League of Kosovo Parliamentary Group, Avdullah Hoti, has said that the government must annul the decision to raise wages for itself because that decision represents conflict of interest according to the Anticorruption Agency's assessment. “The law on salaries in the public sector does not respect the same principle “
“The law on salaries in the public sector does not respect the same principle “Page for the same job”, or other principles before the article 3. High - school followers are paid as bodyguards, who also receive extras for risk. The common police have cofficiency 2, meanwhile, the new cop is 1.0. The law allows space for definition of incomes with other organ decisions, leaving space for executive decisions to create income inequality”, Hoti wrote on his official Facebook account.

With Article 27, Hoti says away, the high wages of those who for many years have benefited more than their subordinates or other employees are saved.
This conflicts with the purpose of this law, which is harmonisation of salaries in the public sector. As such, this law must be withdrawn. The law should be rewritten in consultation with all categories of employees in the public sector. The government must cancel the decision to raise salaries for itself, because that decision represents conflict of interest according to the assessment of the Anti-corruption Agency, which is the only body legally assessing the conflict of interest”, it has said further.
We remember that the Law on Salaries and the one on the budget is expected to be voted tomorrow, Saturday, in the Kosovo Assembly.
