Environmental authorities in Russia have put a team of specialists in an Arctic region to row and remove dozens of hungry polar bears that have surrounded people on that side, followed by The Guardian, Periscope.
This was achieved after officials at the Novaya Zemlya Archipela -- with a population of three thousand inhabitants -- appealed for assistance.
“There has never been such a massive invasion of polar bears,” said Gigansa Musin, head of the local administration. “They were literally following people. ”
Another leader of the area said: “The situation was scared, and they were getting thrilled when they had to leave their homes. Parents don't want to let their children go to school or hospital.” Emergency situation has also been declared in the area.

Attempts to scare the polar bears with horns and dog barking have all failed.
Russia classifies polar bears as an endangered species and killing them is prohibited by law. /Periscopi
