Confirmed by the American Embassy: US General's Visit Canceled Cause of Tax

The American Embassy in Pristina has confirmed the annulment of the visit to Kosovo by the commander of the Ioga National Guard, General Timothy Orr. PThe esscope has reported on Saturday concerning the annulment of this visit already being confirmed by all relevant institutions.

Richard May, spokesman for the US Embassy in Pristina, has said the Coha.net portal that the annulment of the visit concerns the taxes the Government of Kosovo has imposed.

We can confirm that General Orr's visit has been cancelled over tariffs in products from Serbia and Bosnia. We have no comment on future visits or scheduled training”, Mei said.

The commander of the Kosovo Security Force, Nundman Rama, has announced Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, through a letter (can you see below) that the US government has made a decision to cancel the visit of American General of Iwa's National Guard, Timothy Orr to Kosovo, as a sign of disappointment with the Kosovo Government's decision to impose tax on the products of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In Commander Rama's letter, American officials in Kosovo have reportedly announced that Washington is also considering other measures, including the suspension of training and educational programmes for the KSF.
