The prison sentence will not be executed unless he commits any other criminal acts within the verifiable period of two years.
The indictment against him has been declared after the accused previously pleaded guilty to both criminal acts, reports the “Act on Justice”.
Judge Miner Hoti, for use of the weapon, has sentenced him to a one-year prison term, and for illegal possession of a 300-euro fine, which he is obliged to pay after the infirmity of the act.
The accused is also charged with the expenses of the procedure and that 20 euros in the name of the pa sinceshall and another 30 for compensation for the victims of crime, as well as for the weapons that have been the object of criminal acts.
At Friday's session, before the indictment was pronounced against him, the accused has said he admits guilt.
I admit guilt. It's true that I had two pistols with gas in my possession, and I used one of them at my son's wedding. According to tradition, when the wedding started I fired four times. I'm sorry the case happened, I didn't mean to scare anybody, and I never used them before. I wish the court had a softer sentence, because at every stage of the procedure, I co-operated with the police, the prosecutor and court”, he has said among other things.
The defendant's plea has not opposed prosecutor Bessart Mustafa and has later approved Judge Hoti.
According to the indictment filed on October 11, 2019, S. Sopa is charged that on 16 August 2019, around 18:37, in the village of Lencoca, the Podujevo municipality, without authorization and contrary to the applicable gun law, has held the type firearm “Ecol Special 99”, with a 9-millimeter calibre and a type “Echo ALP”, with a 9-millimeter calibre, two caricators, 50 rounds of 9millimeter calibre and 4 shelling.
The same device of the indictment is said to have used weapons contrary to the applicable weapons law, since with his type “gun Echo! ALP 99” has shot four times during a family party, which weapons and ammunition following control by Kosovo police members have been found and seized.
By this, he is accused of criminal acts “possession, control or unauthorized possession of weapons”, from Article 374m paragraph 1 in real union with criminal activity “the use of weapons or dangerous tool”, by Article 375 of KPR.
