Northern and southern Serbs are being threatened and ordered for their votes in the October 6th elections.
Northern Serbs, employed in state institutions, are being ordered, even threatened with jobs by the leaders of these institutions, to vote on the first five candidates of the Serbian List for deputies in the next Kosovo Assembly, while southern Serbs are ordered to vote on the second five candidates, from the number 6-10 respectively, reveal Kosovo Pres.
A Serbian citizen (known press name) who works at one of the schools in northern Mitrovica has spoken on condition of anonymity for Kosova Prees, saying that on Wednesday her director has ordered her on October 6th, on Election Day, to vote on Serbian List and MPs candidates from 1 to 5.
“One of my colleagues told me today that I should get to the principal because there's something important to tell me. After I was notified in his office, where we were only the two of us, he ordered that in Sunday's elections, together with my family to vote on the Serbian List and the first five candidates on the list, for deputies. Otherwise, I risk my job”, this citizen said.
She added that she later realized that almost the same thing the director had told other colleagues - everyone apart.
According to this citizen, the same is happening to Kosovo Serb citizens, who are forced to vote for the Serbian List and MPs candidates number 6 to 10.
She has learned this, as she put it, from a colleague who works in Gracanica, while such a decision has been made following the recent consultations of several members of the Serbian List with Serbia's president, Alexander Vuciq.
Kosova Preris has managed to secure the letter, which in the form of a guide is being distributed to the citizens of four northern municipalities and confirms who they should vote on.
Otherwise, the first five names for deputies on this party's list are Igor Sismi, Zoran Mojsilovac, Miljana Nikolic, Slavko Sibiu, and Ivan Todosijevic. The latter was fired by Prime Minister Haradinaj, because Recak's massacre described the Albanians as a “characterisation of”, and Albanians who fought for Kosovo's liberation called “terrorists”.
While in the second group, for which Serbian citizens, not northern citizens, but other parts of Kosovo must vote, are Jasmina Dedzic, Milos Perovic, Ljubinko Karadzic, Verica Ceranic and Branislav Nikolic.
