The UN Security Council's session for Kosovo scheduled for 31 October is in question.
Thus reports Vecernje Novosti, under which the United Kingdom seems to stand behind it.
The paper stresses that the session could be postponed for “a strange reason” because, according to its sources, Kosovo's US Ambassador Vlora Citaku cannot attend.
According to Novosti, the United Kingdom stands behind this, taking over the chairmanship of the Security Council on November 1st so that, at the request made a month ago, the planned agenda could change, namely, remove the debate on Kosovo.
Former Serbian Foreign Minister Vladislav Jovanovic told the paper that “this could be a maneuver by Albanian patronists to remove Kosovo from UN” again, but added that he does not think it will pass.
He says that even if Citaku does not go, someone from Pristina may come and present its position.
“Novost” stresses that it is possible that the British want Kosovo to be the topic of discussion when they lead the debate.
