Serbian authorities are continuing the fierce diplomatic battle against Kosovo, despite US and QUINT states' calls to stop it.
Even though Serbia has pledged that it will not stop the offensive to withdraw recognitions of independence against Kosovo, officials of this state are persistently asking Kosovo to lift the tax on Serbian products.
According to analysts, in Kosovo it is silenting against Serbian diplomatic aggression even because of the transitor process of changing governments, writes the newspaper “Zeri”.
Serbia's fierce diplomatic campaign, which is lobbieing the world for attracting recognitions of Kosovo's independence and is unable to membership in international organisations, has no ban, although the international community, particularly the US and the QUINT states, have called on Serbia to stop this battle against Kosovo. Serbian authorities, who are ignoring these demands, have pledged that they will never stop, even warning that they will toughen the campaign.
At least that is how Serbian diplomacy chief Ivica Dacic declared at a meeting held this week with newly appointed US Ambassador to Belgrade Anthonyfreyn, claiming that the US has been urged to stop the campaign.
“We have also talked a little bit about Kosovo, and of course they are always interested if we will continue to work on attracting recognitions. It does not come in terms of us stopping the campaign and they lead the campaign for recognition, including the QUINT states, but our conversation has been very correct”, Dachi said after this meeting.
On the other hand, Kosovo, in response to the Serbian campaign, imposed a 100% tax on Serbian and Bosnian products last November. And this tax is being used by the Serbian state to block dialogue with Kosovo.
