Prosecutor seeks detention for Xhafer Tahiri's brother

Salih Tahiri, brother of Vushtrri Mayor Xhafer Tahiri, was arrested on Monday a few days after a video scandal was released where he was heard discussing taking bribes in exchange for construction permits.

The detention of the two suspects has come after a video recording published in the media, in which the recordings allegedly read S.T., which is the brother of the J.T. Commission. With the release of the video-instigation, Mitrovica Chief Prosecutor of Basic Prosecution Awardy Syla has ordered the Regional Unit for Investigation of Economic Crime and Corruption in South Mitrovica to launch investigations about the publication of this video, where two S.T. and S. K, and at the moment they're under ban 48 hours”, becomes known in a media communique.

The hearings for the appointment of the detention measure are expected to be held before the judge of preliminary procedure at the Foundation Court in Mitrovica.

Xhafer Tahiri, the chairman of Vushtrri, had distanced himself from his brother's exploits by accusing PDK's SHIK.
