In a media communique, KMDLNj has called for review of all permits for the construction of hydropower plants, as well as for measures to be taken on all those who, according to them, contributed to environmental degradation.
“KMDLNj requests from the new Kosovo government, KMDLNj seeks to reconsider all plant construction permits and to take measures on all those who have contributed to environmental degradation. The future Kosovo government must build and protect environmental policies and take immediate action to cut jobs in these hydropower plants. KMDLNj requires investigations into the use of the Kosovo police force against peaceful protesters protesting a goal that should be supported by all such as conservation of the environment! Works on the Lepenc River must be halted and the situation must be returned as it was at the beginning of”, the communique said.
