Ermal Kamberi's assassin increases sentence in 16 years, family takes at least 25 years

While last year the Kosovo Police in co-operation with Belgium Police had arrested Ermal Kamberi's killer, Sadik Bajrami.

The latter was sentenced to only 12 years in prison, but following a family complaint on the verdict, his sentence increased for four years this year.

Ermal's brother, Rescue Kamberi, said that for his family this decision is unacceptable.

Through a Facebook post, he said the family wants life imprisonment or at least 25 years.

We have news from the Court of Appeals in Pristina, after we have filed a complaint with our lawyer, on the unfair verdict with only 12 years in prison with a lot of violation by the Mitrovica Court of killing our brother Ermal.

On October 4th, two days before the elections, we had the first and last session from this Court of Appeals, they had decided no retrial, but only increased sentence directly with just four years of increase from the 12 he had declared his sentence to 16 years in prison.
