Citizens vote on Serbian List, detention for two people in Gjilan

The Foundation Court in Gjilan has approved Gjilan's Constitutional Prosecutor's request, assigning the detention measure to 30 people (Zh). D and V. B, who allegedly put pressure on three others for votes. The defendants allegedly exercised [...] by September 26th and September 27, 2019.
The defendants are suspected that by September 26th and September 27th, 2019, they have consistently exerted pressure and exacerbated the injured O. K., S. K. and J. K., in elections expected to be held Sunday, to support and vote the Serbian List party.”, the Court's report said.
According to the Court, with these actions the defendants are suspected of carrying out the criminal act of citing the free definition of voters” working under the Penal Code of the Republic of Kosovo (KPRK).
“The judge of the preliminary procedure in the Randa Crime Department, following the review of the subject paperwork, has considered the legal conditions for the appointment of the detention measure to the defendants, as other alternative measures would be insufficient for normal development of the criminal procedure.”, said further in the statement.
By contrast, the Serb community in Kosovo, in the past legislative mandate, was represented by 10 deputies, of whom 9 were from the Serbian List, which since its establishment has received the support of Serbia's authorities.
