Vetevendosje MP Lieburn Aliu through a writing in the FBR says the promise of recognition by Serbia was only the fraud it served to enable the start of negotiations”.
Meanwhile, Aliu writes that the government is now giving signs that taxes on Serbia will be removed, if the latter recognizes us. But that is not to happen, according to him. He says that the tax on Serbia should not be removed and that it should not be used as an excuse for new components.
Full message:
The promise of recognition from Serbia at the end of the negotiations was made before negotiations began in Brussels. Their outcome is clear, unilateral compromises against Serbia and worsening Kosovo's position on both Serbia and the international factor.
The recognition promise was only the fraud it served to enable negotiations to begin.
Entering new negotiations, again with the promise that we will have recognition at the end of it, will still not bring recognition but inevitable new compromises.
Without preliminary recognition from Serbia, we will have repeated negotiating cycles with deepening compromises.
The government, when establishing the tax on Serbian goods, promised that there would be no removal of it without recognition from Serbia, and that is exactly a turning point for Kosovo.
Now, the government gives signs that it could remove this tax if we had negotiations in which “is promised” recognition at the end.
If something like that were to happen, it would be nothing more than handing over the state of Kosovo to Serbia.
Let us not then be surprised when new compromises follow, division of the country and setbacks from declaring independence and the decision of the JND.
Let's not forget how serious the promise of visa liberalisation was if we cross the demarcation.
The tax on Serbian goods should not be lifted without recognition from Serbia.
We all have to support the tax decision on the goods of Serbia, that's the right way.
