The reactors have named the KSHC board political, saying he is following the policies of Minister Shyqiri Bytyqi for closing these programmes. They have been obliged to initially direct the letter with demand to the country's first education policy, Shyqi Bytyqi. The letter has also been addressed to the country's Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, as well as to the Kosovo Assembly Education Commission.
They have threatened to interrupt any communication with the KSHC, and if within a week these demands are not met they will go on strike and protest.
UHZ Rectors Fadil Milaku in Pec, Marjan Dema of UPa, Alush Musai UMIB-Mitrovica, Bajram Kosumi i UKZ-Gylan, Shaban Buza i U n JFA-Gjakov and Agron Bajraktari of the USHA-Ferizaj, gathered today at the Rectors Conference to track K's announcement. The SHC about decisions that had emerged from the meeting the second had held on January 15th and 16th, where it had decided to withdraw accreditation and reject 42 research programmes.
In a news release, it is suggested that the Conference of Rectors has issued three findings at this meeting. First than “K The SC has shown irresponsability to the legal provisions in force”. Second, according to the reactors, K The US has shown professional responsibility in the case of assessing areas of research programmes, and third, that the KSHC is politicised and its decisions are biased.
These decisions are related to the policy of the Minister of Education, Science and Technology, for the closure of new public universities”, the third point says.
Therefore, the Rectors' Conference, requires from competent bodies that by January 28th, urgently take action as follows: “1. The immediate download of members of the State Council of Quality as well as 2. Empowering decisions on withdrawal and denial of accreditation for all programmes that have been accredited”.
Rectors have said that until making these decisions, all communications with the State Council of Quality are cut off.
If competent organs by 28.01.2019 do not approve the demands of the Rector Conference, then from 2901.2019, public universities will begin general strike and protests until the meeting of requirements like above”, the letter signed by six reactors says.
Portal Koha.net has tried to contact Gazmend Luboten, chairman of the State Council of Quality board, but such on Monday evening has been impossible.
We remember that Ramush Haradinaj's first decision at the helm of the executives had been on account of the members of the State Council of Quality. This was sparked by numerous reactions, until Kosovo was excluded from the European Association for the Security of Quality at Higher Education (ENQA) and the European Book for Quality Insurance in Higher Education (EQAR). The Kosovo Agency for Acronym (AKA) has entered the re-evaluation phase by these two mechanisms.
